In this paper we put forward the designing method of a new kind of hatching-controller applied to the construction industry. The function of hatching-controller is to mix up four kinds of materials according to a certain ratio and it is a typical product of microcontroller applied to control the production course of the construction industry automatically. The construction industry has greatly developed for these years, so it requires hatching-controllers to improve their functions. The early hatching-controllers use the low integrated microcontroller as their CPU , for example 8051, and add quite a few peripheral chips to complete the basic functions of batching. Today, There are some new requirements for hatching-controllers in the construction industry and it is possible to meet these requirements by using the newest products of hatching-controllers and peripherals. So we have researched and developed a new kind of hatching-controller to adapt to the new developments. Batching-controllers are products which bind software to hardware closely, so we adequately consider close relation of software and hardware during the course of researching and developing. On hardware, the hatching-controller designed by us uses the chip AD\iC8l2 , which has the quality of high integrated rate and high stability , made by American Analogue Devices Incorporation as CPU and the chip Max7219 made by American Maxim Inc. as display driver . The chip ADuC812 takes 8052 as its core and integrates such functions as A/D and D/A and watchdog and 640 bytes' flash data memory on chip and it is compatible with the two serially interfaced protocols of SPI and I2C. The chip max7219 is serially interfaced specialized LED driver following the SPI protocol and it can drive 8 digit numeral tubes at most and its maximal frequency reaches 10 MHz and it is simple in programming. The choice of above hardware makes hatching-controller have the advantage of low cost and short develop circle. On software we adopt the method of programming in modules and every module is independent in logic and it helps debugging of program. The hatching-controller has the characteristics of strong anti-interference and high ratio of function against price and small volume. In this paper we elaborate the course and principles and methods of designing the new hatching-controller from two aspects including software and hardware and four modules including batching and displaying and keyboard and power.
