Diagnostic Expert Systems, Knowledge-based High-voltage Circuit Breaker Failure

A knowledge-based fault diagnosis expert system for high-volt circuit breaker was set up in the paper. Based on the analysis and catalogue of all kinds of faults of circuit breaker and the trait of much data of the circuit breaker's experiment, the system was designed and developed. In the system, a multiply-layer reasoning model and diagnosis-tree were used, and management & diagnosis of circuit breaker was effectively finished.In the system, Client/Server network were used, and PowerBuilder 6.5 was selected as the development language of application program, and Sybase 11 was used as the Synthesis database of the system. In the system, the Knowledge Base and Database were designed, and there were 20 tables in the Synthesis Database. For the sake of the convenient of the usage, good user interface was designed.
