Carrier Communications is widely used in tunnels,mines, military fields and so on. Carrier communications in China is an vigorous discipline. It plays an important role in modern communication systems. The transmission medium of carrier communications includes special cable, twisted pair cable, coaxial cable and so on.In the field of traditional carrier communications,the modulation-demodulation module of carrier communications was implemented by means of analog methods. The traditional carrier communications systems can't catch up with the market demands for higher communication quality. Then an all digital modulation-demodulation scheme based on DSP and MCU was proposed, which aims at the carrier communications developed at top speed.First, the development and application of carrier communications was briefly introduced in this paper. Second, the hardware and software implementation of MCU and DSP modules were illustrated. And then, a detailed introduction of the algorithm research of the all digital single side band(SSB) modulation-demodulation was proposed.At last, one method of carrier communications networking was briefly introduced.The results of experiment and practical measurement show that the overall system met the desirable requirements.Compared with the previous design of carrier communication systems, the system greatly improved the carrier communication's performance, and it has further advanced the digitization of carrier communications.
