| In the procedure of video communication and transmission, the enormous video data streams make high requirement to the system. Generic communication system is easy to loss the useful information, and arouses the quality of the system decreasing. In this papers a MPEG real-time image compression system based on PCI local bus is designed and exploited. On the base of assuring the video image quality, the system can gain good compression ratio and meet the requirement of video communication and transmission. In addition, with the development of both software and hardware, the author gives the related compression algorithms and design ideas, and greatly demonstrates the results by experimentation. |
