From 2D to 3D is an inevitable trend for the development of the mechanical CAD running on the microcomputer Now, most of the 3D CAD softwares at home are lack of strong modeling abilities contrasting to relevant foreign softwares. Under this condition, this paper is intended to search for advanced 3D modeling methods and flexible 3D modeling ways All the work has been done under the Windows 95 environment and using object-oriented techniqueDesigning period of This paper goes through several related and gradually fined processes, from analyzing the need of the question space to forming models, to designing modules, and to writing software codes During the period of constructing the model, It uses object-oriented conceptual model to reflect the states and behaviors of physical objects and to abstract gradually drawing object class structure and drawing tool class structure On the other hand because this software is a class-derived system it is very easy to expand and maintainThis paper uses flexible and convenient mouse-driving method to form a 3D solid. The whole process is very convenient efficient and vivid. As to solid modeling method, this paper develops extruded rotated, and compound sweep methods that improve greatly the solid modeling abilities for the complex objects.
