Com Component Technology And Its Applications

Component technology is a powerful and hot scheme to actualize software reuse, shorten programming time, decrease maintenance costs and realize dynamic program upgrade. Component Object Model (COM) from Microsoft is one of the mature component technologies and widely employed in its operating system and application softwares. COM technology is also largely used and perfected in the fields of distributed compute, Internet and three-tier architecture development. In order to go deep into the thought of COM and better the application of component technology, this thesis makes a deep and systemic study of the infrastructure mechanism of COM, expounds the concept, content and significance of component, explains the model and infrastructure implement of COM component, analyses correlative OLE and ActiveX technologies which are both based on COM. At last, briefly describes an application example of telephone-record dynamic website actualized by ASP and COM technology.
