The advancement in Generic Structure Database and the searching theory are presented in this paper. Two rules, namely consistency and efficiency, to process Generic Structure are introduced, and the optimal decomposing point (ODP) is brought forth to obtain efficient searchable records. In the system of Searching Markush Structure by Key Structures, a visual and intelligent inputting program is developed to input Generic Structure from source patent documents automatically. According to the two rules of consistency and efficiency, MSIIS (Markush Structure Integrated Inputting System) is developed to efficiently process Generic Structure. In MSIIS, 3LCM as the core, consistency is acquired by adopting the 2 level documents, and efficiency by discomposing the source generic structure into several subset generic structures at the optimal decomposing point by the compiler.
