As the feature size of integrated circuits continued to narrow, the equipment has entered the nano scale size. How to realize the information interaction of nano scale devices has become a new hot research field. Because of the size restrictions, the traditional means of communication can not be used. Motivated by biology, scientists put forward the concept of molecular communication, which is about using the chemical and biological molecules as the carrier of information. The main problems existing in molecular communication are expensive experimental equipments and strict experimental conditions, these problems result in that the study of molecular communication field is difficult to develop truly in the field of computer. With the help of simulation software, a large number of research results are realized based on the theories of biological field.In view of the above problems, the Nariman team of York University put forward that we could use the existing simple instrument to build the experimental prototype which could be used for molecular communication test. This prototype was convenient for the researchers in computer field to study the molecular communication more intuitively and more deeply. This paper aims to analyse the Nariman prototype in detail, and points out the shortcomings of Nariman prototype. Considering the existing experiment equipments, we designed a prototype system which is more correspond to the molecular communication, and more easy to develop. This paper verifies the feasibility of the model by experiment, and implements a prototype system which is improved. The main works are reflected in the following aspects:(1) The author reviewed the related concepts of molecular communication, analyze-d the content of molecular communication field. Based on the review, the author analy-zed Nariman prototype system which was realised by free diffusion, then introduced t-he design and experiments in detail.(2) The shortcoming of Nariman prototype system was the artificial noise. In order to solve this problem, we put forward a modified molecular communication prototype system. On the basis of the existing equipment and the improvement ideas, we designe -d a simple molecular communication prototype system more correspond to the molecu-lar communication process. Then we designed some experiments, carried out the relat-ed research by using this system. At last we explored the molecular communication pr-oblems may exist in the real environment, and put forward the solutions to these probl-ems.(3) According to the molecular communication process, the amplitude modulation and the rising edge technology, we built a molecular communication experiment platfo-rm. By the data of the MQ-3 sensor, we designed a communication protocol for the pr-ototype. At last we transmitted information successfully.
