| According to the survey of the International Data Corporation (IDC), currently the amount of data increases sharply approximately twice every two years, and it will increase 75 times in the next 10 years. In recent years, continuous innovation of new technology, such as Internet of things, cloud computing, mobile internet and so on, such all upgrades the data growth mode from three-dimension (volume, velocity and variety), caused more than 90% of data generated not many years but recent years. The data produced by manufacturing, transportation, health care, education, culture and other industries increasing in an explosive velocity. Whether we put more or less attention to it, the Big Data has come into our world unconsciously; the data flood has impacted people’s philosophical views comprehensively and large-scaly. The era of "big data", "big knowledge",’big information" and "big discovery" has approached quietly.The profound insights implied by Big Data which has been concerned greatly by people in various fields. In the field of natural science, Turing Award winner Jim Gray put forward a new scientific paradigm on basis of Big Data, the view from his well-known book "The Fourth Paradigm Data-intensive Science Discovery"; put it in a paradigm place of modern science field. In political area, the Obama administration firstly launched the project of "Big Data Research and Development Programs", aims to promote the scientific research related to Big Data, improve the technical level of Big Data research, and strengthen the ability to obtain insights and knowledge from large, complex data. The Big Data is set a prominent place in the national strategy. In the economic field, through a wide, multi-field range of survey, McKinsey Global Institutions confirms that the Big Data has great potential value to enhance the economic creativity, and in the 2012 World Economic Forum, Big Data is defined to be similar as gold or currency like the new economic assets. In the field of education, the mode of individualized education has been concerned at home and abroad, whether the system of "degree compass" of Austin Peay State University or the data mining of Facebook from Arizona State University, they all try to put Big Data thoughts into personalized education.In short, Big Data has aroused great attention. More perspective and comprehensive philosophical research of Big Data has gradually become the base of innovative of governments, enterprises and individuals. Yet it is currently in a situation "the data is big and rich but the theory is deficient and poor".A lot of philosophical research for Big Data is only in a piecemeal and exploiting status, and deep onto logical insights of Big Data, powerful evidence of related theoretical and the construction of theoretical system is lack obviously. In the first part, through widely investigation and research in current situation of Big Data put forward the necessity of research on the philosophy of Big Data. In the second part, from more perspectives investigated on ontological connotation of Big Data, most basic work for philosophy research of Big Data has been made. In the third part, put the philosophy of data as an introduction, studied the inherent philosophy of Big Data. In the fourth part, after studied the impact of Big Data in various areas, analyzed various debates on Big Data, while given a macro summarize, extracting the inherent implication of Big Data, highlighting the great value of Big Data. The whole paper passed through the Big Data phenomenon, while recognized it objectively and rationally, digging deep philosophical connotation of it reserves, and to provide innovative ontological, epistemological, methodological and worldview for people to better understand and construct the world. |
