Moving target detection is a most important research direction of computer vision research, it is have a wide range of applications in medicine, biology fields, transportation and military aspects, so efficient, precise dynamic object detection system has great significance. In the implementation process of moving target detection, FPGA due to its high parallelism and high flexibility to reduces greatly development costs and cycle, it improve the efficiency of product development and has gradually replaced the traditional design methods. So, FPGA-based object detection system dynamic information industry will become a new hot spot, therefore has important theoretical and practical significance to design and implementation a dynamic target detection system based on FPGA.This article is based on FPGA platform, with an image sensor MT9M011build a dynamic target detection system. Frist, This thesis is profile the required basis theoretical for dynamic target detection systems, such as the basics of video signals, scan video signals, color space theory and VGA display unit; Secondly, I use of the Verilog language to design system module in the software aspects, the main module has video capture and conversion module,12C bus module design, data caching module, the video display module and alarm module; finally, I research and discussion several methods of moving target detection, after analysis the pros and cons of the optical flow, frame difference method, background subtraction method, I complete the background subtraction method to design and implementation a dynamic target detection system based on FPGA.The system uses Altera’s chips Ep2C35F672C6CycloneII hardware platform, development of Verilog language in the Quartus Ⅱ9.0software, use SignalTap Ⅱ to test each module system, test results show that the design of each module can complete the required functions. Finally, I test the system of hardware platform, the results showed the system can complete detection of dynamic objects, and display a clear, stable image on a VGA monitor...
