Research And Analysis Of Library Management System In Sanming College

A school library is an important part of a university, whose teaching and research activities are closely related with its service work. With the growing increasein books and the accelerated pace of information technology, it isimperatively necessary to design a convenient and efficient operational management software forthe management work of a library.This paper is based on the current situation of library management in the library of SanmingUniversity where by using the idea of object-oriented analysis and research, a set of library management system arises. In the part of business analysis, the paper deals with the problems existing in the system, the organization as well as the original business processes and it offers a post-transformation business process, which is composed ofsix modules, namely interview, cataloging, collection, circulation management, reader management and system management. In the part of functional analysis, with the use of case analysis andcase description, the paper defines the system function and gives the package diagram and functional diagram of the general function, including the package diagrams like acquisition, cataloging, collection, circulation management, the reader management and the system management. In the part of data analysis, the paper analyzes the data regarding system functions and provides the entity relationship diagram, establishes the database table structure; Finally, it draws a conclusion of the research and analysis of the work. Last but not least, the further work is prospected.
