Today, with the advances in science and technology, the amount of equipment is also increasing with the development of school. The traditional methods of the management for equipment has not been able to meet the current requirements. Using informational technology to manage school’s equipment can solve the shortcomings of the traditional management methods.Besides that, the management of equipment can become more and more standard, and the efficiency of management can be improved.The paper introduces the research background, significance of the project research and application of the current of Quanzhou Normal University’s equipment management system, clear the contents and the main task of the study; In analysis of business, problems of system, the organization, the existing business processes are analyzed, the business processes of transformation are given; In functional analysis, by analysing and describing of the use case, the paper defines the function of the system, gives the overall function package diagrams and sub-function package diagram of the system, including system’s management, apply for the purchase of equipment management, borrowed of equipment management, transfer of equipment management, maintenance of equipment management, scrapped of equipment management and other sub-package diagram; in the data analysis, the paper analyzes the data of the needs to be processed of each function in the system, gives entity class diagram, established a database table structure; Finally, the paper summarizes the work done by research and analysis, and prospect for the future work.
