In recent years, with the use of new technology in drilling fields, it cuts down the cost of oil production but in opposite of the drilling efficiency. Before the new technology puts into practice they must be adjusted and tested. With the development of the simulation science and simulation wells, it becomes possible for verifying these issues beforehand. In the world wide, the drilling simulation is used in drilling polytechnic operations, drilling process measurement, drilling engineering design, drilling technology improvement with good efficiency.This paper summed up the statements of simulation technology in the drill field, According to the current situation of lost circulation simulation devices, this paper focuses on the study of designing an automation system to simulate the flow of lost circulation in the simulation well. By theory analysis and experiment build up the valves model in Simulink (MATLAB).According to the control needs, build up the control layer and complete the program in the controller. Program the human interface on the upper PC. At last take the real valves and controller into practice to verify the effective of the design.The design of the monitoring and control system include monitoring layer on the upper PC, the field device layer and control layer. The main function of the system includes the simulation flow of lost circulation, the pressure and flow data acquisition and human interface on the PC. The pressure and flow data is simulated in the Simulink and transmitted to the controller via the OPC. Proposing that the practical scheme of the simulation can complete the control aims.
