The dynamic range of the traditional CMOS sensor is lower than the scenery,it is easy to lose scenery details, affect the image quality,so it is important to develop wide dynamic ran-ge CMOS image manipulation circuit.Direct against this kind of situation,this paper uses wide dynamic range CMOS sensor to design a wide dynamic range CMOS image capturing and processing system.First,this article summarizes the development and performance of CMOS sensor in the world, compare the main features of CCD and CMOS.The system selects the wide dynamic range CMOS-NSC1003 chip as image sensor,designs the hardware driving circuit. Through the study on the working mode,structure and performance parameters of this CMOS sensor,design timing circuit of the NSC1003 sensor with verilog hardware design language based on the digital signal processor FPGA.The system mainly includes the driver module of NSC1003,image acquisition module, storage module and CVBS interface control module.Designe and simulate these module separately,then connect them at the top lay-er.According to the characteristics and noise of the wide dynamic range image, this article puts forward a new Image enhancement algorithm, the contrast of the image is enhanced by gray expanding and then the median filter is chosed to process the image noise.Analysis the strengths and weakneses of these two algorithms,then complete the design of algorithm code within the FPGA chip,get a good imaging result and lay the technology foundation for low light level ICMOS system.
