| A political symbol is not only a sub-system of symbol system, which contains political message, but also a function of the political culture. It is an important method to show emotion, value, and opinion in propaganda. In the perspective of political symbol, the CCTV "News Network" is a significant part to constitute politic power. With the responsibility in emphasizing the nation identity, contributing the country image, and broadcast the state ideology, the CCTV "News Network" inspire the people’s honor, loyalty, and trust of the state by using political symbols.There are four chapters in this article, to analyze the CCTV "News Network", which the first chapter states the domestic researches and declare the main purpose to seek in this paper. The second part analyze political symbol theories by the concept, features and function, to elaborate the political broadcasting theory, the theory of public memory, and political identify theory. In chapter three, details, respectively, from the nation leaders, announcers, the opening song, advertising and other symbols to indicate the "News Network" has already become the social mainstream ideology inherent. At last, this paper summarize three characteristics of the "News Network" as political first, national leaders first, and ideology first. This paper not only gives a new view to analyze the CCTV "News Network", but also help people understand the politics during the news deeply. Besides, it can make better effect in communicating with the public. |
