| In recent years, as the frequent divulging of personal privacy universally, the issue on readers’ privacy protection has attracted much attention. Privacy protection has been a major problem that affects the development and realization of library service quality and library core value, while the library privacy protection in practice hasn’t been paid great attention to in China. As one of the developed countries around the world, Japanese librarianship remains the forefront of the world, particularly in readers’ privacy protection. Being parts of the continental law system, Japan possesses the similar culture background with China. As the old saying goes, "there are other hills where stones are good for working jade", the experience of Japan can be adopted to promote Chinese librarianship. Based on the above points, the research consists of two aspects. On one aspect, it is involved in all responsible parties of readers’ privacy protection in library; in terms of the implementation process, there are related to the controlled readers’ privacy protection before, middle and after the issue. Adopting the comprehensive questionnaire, Internet survey, comparison research and deductive induction method, this research is intended to investigate and analyze the readers’ privacy protection, the privacy awareness, the readers’ privacy protection laws and policies, the readers’ privacy protection power of execution and the relative academic researches between Chinese and Japanese library. In addition, considering the responsible parties such as the country, the library, the right subjects and academic area, the research aims to excavate the crux that related to the readers’ privacy protection in Chinese library though the analysis and comparison of the status quo on readers’ privacy protection in Sino-Japan library, so as to provide some helpful and constructive references and suggestions for the implementation of readers’ privacy protection in China library. |
