The Design And Implementation Of An U-Disk’s Protection For Functions Of PC

U-disk has been widely used in our daily life. It fulfills its functions through USBinterface and flash memory storage medium. U disk is characterized by high speed in storage,hot pluggable, easy to carry, non-essential physical drive. However, the traditional U-diskcan’t protect users’sensitive information from being stolen by others.Directed against the shortcomings of the traditional U-disk, the present author has putforward a new design of the U-disk which can secure the safety of users’PC. The presentdesign has two functions:1, protect users’sensitive information from being seen by others;2,protect users’PC. Once the U-disk disconnect with specified U-disk, nobody can operate theusers’PC.The main research work of this paper is as follows:1.Design a program to protect the users’ data. Embedded development: the device hasbeen divided into three areas: the CDROM area, the ordinary area, and the safety area. TheCDROM area saves the read-only client program. The development of the PC means thedevelopment of the client software in CDROM area.2.Design a program to protect the users’PC. Firstly, develop software to bind the PC andthe U-disk and to realize the one-to-one correspondence between U-disk and the specified PC.Secondly, with the Windows hook technology, to develop a kind of client software to protectthe PC, which is realized by the function of lock screen.3.Use3DES algorithm to encrypt the authentication PIN information which canguarantee the security of the cipher text in transmission and realize3DES algorithmdecryption in the firmware library as well.4.Test the feasibility and the stability of the system on the development board.The present paper has designed a safe U-disk which can protect the function of users’PC.And it has been proved good in performance which meets the users’ expectation through alarge number of test and practical use.
