In this information era, people’s need and requirement towards telecommunication have increased time by time, and in order to meet the need of reliability in telecommunication, it’s necessary to design and develop a smart route inspection system. The inspection products in the market nowadays still have drawbacks in both mobility and intellectuality. To make the inspection system smart as well as mobile, this article make full advantage of Android smart phone design a smart route inspection system based in Android platform. After installing it to an Android phone, it works successfully with the accurate location function.The smart route inspection system based in Android platform use the GPRS/3G network and locate the geography coordinates via GPS satellite. It tracks the phone under the default clock and uploads some information by user manually, thus process the function of data collection and monitoring. To achieve the better quality of experience for user, the graduation project is designed to complete the uploaded and analysis of Message part, the interaction part with users, map, SQLite3and achieve the function of data transmission, activity transition, parameter setting in the terminal as well as friendly guidance.The main content of this article are:1. It explains the general design and illustrate uploaded and analysis of message part of design of the smart route inspection system. It solve the message uploaded and analysis between the client and server of the smart line-patrol system.2. It explains the general design and illustrate user part of design of the smart route inspection system in detail. It develops each sub-module of the user interaction part in the smart route inspection system and achieves different functions. It includes main module, menu module, login module, map module, setting module, about module etc.3. It introduces the requirements analysis and detailed design of the localization and mapping module, which include application for the Google API to get the current latitude and longitude, displaying the current location icon on the map, loading layer to display of the planning routes, and latitude and longitude with geographical changes in real-time updates.4. It introduces the requirements analysis and detailed design of the database module. It develops basic operations of SQLite3.Finally, the author sums up the merit and the disadvantage of this project and look forward the future potential of smart route inspection system on a smart phone.
