| Hanzhong City is in southwestern Shanxi province with Mt. Qinling and Mt. Bashan at the north and sourth of this city respectively, right in the middle of this place is dotted with valleys and plains of Han river, which consist of the administrative division of1district and10counties. There are260cultural relic conservation units at different levels in Hanzhong,19of which are at national level,37at provincial level,200at city or county level and4188immovable heritage places scattered all around this city, additionally there are23300or so historic relics kept in various museums,2000of which are of great significance. These relics, which include Qingyuchan,the groove face grain bone artifacts,Painted pottery bottom tip bottles,tauren bottles,fine lines bronze zun,manila garlic flat pot,Chen Guying song dynasty tomb three-color terracotta figures,porcelains of Ming and Qing dynasties、statues of Buddha, are the vivid reflections of the cultural development and local cultural characters of Hanzhong in different periods of the history.Even though there are numerous kinds of heritage institutions which mostly are exhibitions with singular themes, we could not find any museums that are able to show the distinctive local culture with time-honored characters of the whole history. Therefore, the design of spectacular plans of heritage relics with all periods of history for Hanzhong is of great importance. My thesis is comprise of two main parts:the study about the history and status quo of exhibition; the plans (which is counseled with the study above)for the exhibition with all periods of history. The plan, which will be designed with the order of time, is a example of depictions of the heritage articles,crucial historic events and archeological findings. What is more, there are6units in this plan which is aim at to reflect the intact and real history:unit1, the Dawn of civilization-Hanzhong in pre-history time; unit2, The treasure of ancient castles-Hanzhong in Shang and Zhou dynasty; unit3, the origin of Han-Hanzhong in Qin and Han periods; unit4, the ruins of Three Kingdoms-Hanzhong in turmoils; unit5, military depot-Hanzhong in Tang and Song times; unit6,the important city of northwestern China-Hanzhong in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.Thanks to the movable cultural relics, we can perfectly complete this plan with physical articles. Meantime, we introduce the historic events by means of photos and charts. Besides, this plan also apply the means of the rehabilitation of history, sandbox and model.We design this plan with the expectation of exhibiting the history, culture and traditions of Hanzhong and improving the audiences’ knowledge of this beautiful city. What is more, we hope more and more people will strengthen their awareness of heritage conservation and self identity of local culture. Finally, we sincerely anticipate that this study in the future will acts as a guide to the fieldwork of the historic relics in Hanzhong and provide some meaningful advice and references for the historic exhibition with all different history of local museums. |
