ShiJi is the first biographical history book in Chinese history, handed down from the past for two thousand years. Punctuation used in ShiJi is an important part of the study of literature, and is also the basic work in "ShiJi Studies,". From1950s to1970s, led by Gu Jiegang, the revision of ShiJi published by Zhonghua Edition, based on" ShiJi Annals Solitude justice co-edition"(referred to as the Jinling Press) printed by Jingling Press during the years in Tongzhi Qing Dynasty, is the most prevailing copy of ShiJi over half a century, known as " rare books of the academic study more than a thousand years." While the book is still not satisfactory in the usage of punctuation. By applying the form of notes uses, self revision, other people’s revision, scientific revision, while referring to other editions, reference books and research results on ShiJi, this article aims to revise some uncertain punctuations in Zhonghua Edition The purpose is to consult with those former revisers and to offer some references for the readers, hoping it will be beneficial to future revision of Shiji.
