Multi-zone reflow furnace is an important component of alternative energy production and electronic equipments in the industry, and it is widely used in printed circuit board assembly, semiconductor manufacturing and solar cell manufacturing field. Based on the characteristics of multi-zone reflow furnace sintering curve and process parameters, This thesis presents the application of PLC as the core of multi-zone reflow furnace control system, which can make multi-zone reflow furnace meet the process requirements of different products. The control system consists of temperature control system and motion control system. The main research contents as follows:1. Research on the temperature control system. Analysis and established the mathematical model of multi-zone reflow furnace temperature control, and then raised the design scheme of temperature control system. Each temperature zone of reflow furnace adopts independent temperature control. The K-type thermocouple will gather the temperature signal to the temperature control module. The temperature control module will output PWM signal to control the solid state relay switching power after calculating the intelligent PID algorithm, and then continuously adjust power heating device, to achieve the purpose of temperature control. Application of Matlab software to optimize the design of reflow furnace temperature parameters, find the parameter optimization, and provide a theoretical basis for the design of control system.2. Research on motion control system. Mainly includes the track width modulation control system and the chain transmission system.3. The design of the PC monitoring system. PC monitoring system is a computer with human-computer interaction function. The upper and lower computer make communication through the serial port, which makes the whole system as the one. PC monitor software is compiled by VC language, including some function modules, which can realize many functions.Based on the requirements of control system and professional knowledge, the thesis designs the control system of multi-zone reflow furnace.
