With the continuously increasing occupancy of smart phones in the market, the users depend on them more than before. The security of private data in the cell phone becomes more and more important. The cases of leaking privacy data caused by losing their phones are increasing, thus protecting privacy date in the cell phone, getting back the lost phone and obtaining evidence of the stolen cell phone has became the concerned topic of users right now. Nowadays the technology of Android platform is more and more mature and the third party map makers announced open platforms, which provide a more perfect developing environment for the realization of the system of information security and position tracking on smart phones.This thesis is based on the Google Android development platform for smart phone, Baidu Map development and J2EE technology to explore a system of information security and position tracking on smart phones. This thesis lays emphasis on data storage including SQLite database and SharedPreferences on Android platform, Android components, and network communication technology in the client side. And a system of data center is constructed by J2EE technology in the sever side, which manages the data of the system. Within Baidu Map development platform, it makes the two sides a system of protecting users’privacy data, locating the lost cell phone and collecting the proof of theft.First of all, the thesis introduces the theory related to the functions of the system, running platform and technology. Next, in order to realize remote control via text message, this thesis focus on features of Service, BroadCastReceiver, ContentProvider, SQLite database and SharedPreferences on Android platform. Then, in order to display location of cell phones graphically, the thesis lays emphasis on Baidu Map development platform both in the two sides. Meanwhile, Struts2and DBUtils frameworks are involved which construct a system of data center to realize the management of user data and evidence of stolen cell phones. Finally, the thesis tests the functions in each module of the system.The main features of the system as below. First, it operates lost cell phone through safety cell phone by sending and receiving text messages. Second, it can synchronous private data and evidence of the stolen cell phone. Third, the user can observe the current location of his cell phone through a visual map on the safety cell phone.
