Imagination And Reproduction Of National Image

As a new media form, Microblog has increasingly deep into people’s daily lives. Also because it is more and more important, many countries make it as a new external publicity window. In the microblog "global village", the U.S. Embassy’s official microblog is undoubtedly one of the best. In this article, I will use a combination of qualitative and quantitative framework for analysis, to explore the country’s image construction of the U.S. embassy official microblog.This paper constitutes by the introduction and three chapters. The author sort out the study of origin, core concepts and research ideas. In the first chapter, I use topics quantitative methods to summarize the surface frame of country image in microblog text and summarize its core characteristics, namely the absence of hard power and representation of soft power. Thus, in the second chapter I mainly based on the text itself to avoid "heavy" on the "soft" characteristics, through careful analysis of the characters, time, area and other factors and I expand to explore the value of schemata of the country image. In the last part, I will delve into ideological systems for the country’s image background device.In summary, the core purpose of this paper is to explore the U.S. national surface image by microblog text construction and the national value behind image. Ultimately it can deep into the depths of the values of the state ideology and it can make a comprehensive text analysis for the official microblog.
