In recent years, with the development of wireless location technology, its applicationfields are expanding. Is the outdoor positioning technology of GPSglobal positioningsystem is widely used at present, because of its high positioning accuracy, capableof positioning and navigation in the ship, automobile, aircraft and other objects. In additionto the GPS positioning system, in some serious interference environment, such as thelibrary, warehouse, supermarket,underground, but also applied to the indoor positioningtechnology, indoor positioning technology common wireless LAN, infrared, ultrasonictechnologybased on. In addition to the positioning technology is widely used in indoor andoutdoor, for in some such as salvage, trenchless construction of special occasions, usethe underground positioning technology. The domestic study onunderground positioningtechnology is currently in the primary stage, the price of undergroundpositioning equipment production abroad is very expensive, and secrecy, research on theuse of technology and equipment have brought great difficulties.In view of the research and development of underground positioning technology andproducts in the domestic is not mature enough, cause positioning products producedabroad is expensive, this topic through a large number of relevant literatures on positioningtechnology, existing as a reference, the underground positioning system design of alow cost. Through the analysis of wireless signal propagation characteristics,design ofunderground localization based on RSSI technology. Schematic and PCB circuit designof each hardware module software design of positioning system, build the system hardwareplatform. Using advanced programming language programming of hardware driver and PCapplication. Finally, the design of underground positioning experiment scheme and theexperiment results areanalyzed and summarized.
