In recent years, along with the development of computer information technology, the 3D animation industry which mainly involves digital entertainment has meet unprecedented developing opportunity. People are deeply fond of it because of its vivid and tridimensional appearance. However, during the developing and producing process of 3D animation, it is a pivotal issue to manage the resources of 3D role models. Currently, most 3D animation companies still use the method of creating folders nested to each other for store resource management. The traditional way of management may disorder storage and arrangement of resources. It is hard to reflect the relation between the models in the process of conservation. As a result, it have bad influence on the maintenance and management of resources, which hinders the developers'work efficiency to search and apply the resource accurately, and lead to a mass of waste on materials and human resource. Furthermore, the traditional way of management is not easy to share and maintain the resources effectively, and it can not guarantee the security of model data. Therefore, establish the resource management system with perfect shape and function, to administrate the model production process, model resources and employees effectively, to implement information management in the animation industry can make a positive influence to the development of the whole industry at the same time.Based on the description above, author combines his own knowledge with recent work experience, conduct research mainly based on the usage of 3D model resources and the production process of the 3D model during the development of the 3D animation. Major work conducted in this article include:firstly, thoroughly analyze the existing problems among the resource usage and management during the development of a 3D animation, discuss the necessary to development a complete model resource management system; Secondly, create a solution and analyze its possibility and also according to different requirements from clients, analyzing the core function and process of the resource management system. The paper describes the overall architecture design of the platform to further refine the functional modules, and divides it into four modules information management, operation records management, user management, resource management, and details in specific design of each module idea and method. And discuss with specific design ideas of each module in detail then, in this paper the system implement and give an example from software interface using interactive and resource utilization of modeling; have a summary for the design of model resource management system at last. The experiments show that the structure design is reasonable and use appropriate technical solutions then get the expectable design purpose.
