Single-sensor, Multi-objective Multi-model Tracking Algorithm

Target tracking theory has been widely used in both military and civilian fields. And tracking algorithm is the core in the tracking system. This dissertation will focus on analysis of single-sensor multi-target multi-model tracking algorithm and its software implementation.This dissertation introduces the status of target tracking technology and the mainly relative work in this project. Then it illustrates some of the commonly used mobility models, filters, tracks and data association gates on the basis of the basic principles of tracking. After that, it discusses on the design process of a single-sensor and multi-target multi-model algorithm, including the choice of coordinates, target motion model and filter design, tracking data association gate. It also introduces the target tracking algorithm software implementation process and stability verification by a series of simulation of the algorithm. At the end of this dissertation, it makes summaries of this project and does some prospects of future research and development.
