Nowadays the transport networks are evolving from MSTP(Multiple service transport platform) to PTN(packet transport networks) as the services become more and more packet based. Clock synchronization is an essential problem faced by PTN. PTP (precise time protocol) can be used to solve this problem. Its feasibility has been verified by related literatures, and it is also the most widely supported solution to solve the synchronization problem of PTN.In this paper, we have constructed a simulation platform based on OPNET 10.0 to further study the key factors affect the clocks'accuracy of PTP synchronization schemes. Firstly, the node model based on T-MPLS technology was constructed. Then a static link of 5 PTN nodes was configured as the simulation topology. The master clock was placed on one end of the link, and the slave clock on the other. The end-to-end transparent clock has been introduced to the PTN nodes. After doing a lot of simulations, these conclusions are got:the service rate of the PTN routers affects the accuracy of one synchronization procedure and the long time stability of the slave clocks a lot; the average algorithm of the delays has significant affection to the accuracy of one synchronization procedure, but little to the long time stability of the slave clocks; the filter has the similar effect as the average algorithm; the end-to-end transparent clock has significant affection to both the accuracy of one synchronization procedure and the long time stability of the slave clocks.
