With the development of society, for network planning and design, today, the technology of network simulation has been widely used. First of all, through the modeling of the network and simulation transmission of the network, it is obtain performance data of the network, for network planni ng and design to provi de detailed, object ive and reliablc evidence available. OPNET network simulation software is the most important, most advanced simulation development and application terrace, widely used in the network configuration, network troubleshooting, protocol development and optimization. The wireless networks are simulated through the OPNET Modeler as the simulation terrace in this paper. This paper first discuss OPNET simulation principle, the core technology and the simulation process, then the wireless network programming and modeling is summarized, at last, focus on the 11 stages of wireless channel modeling and the related calculation.Next, discuss the OPNET implementation of the wireless network for the process of the modules. The main part of this paper is to simulate wireless networks transmit and receive process. Through the network load and network delay in the simulation, obtained for the wireless network, the expansion has little effect on the network. Finally, the error rate of wireless network performance and throughput analysis such as computing, are the best network configuration, for future planning and design plays an important reference for recommendations. OPNET software is very good network planning and optimization software, as long as the budding express model, you can get the desired results. Therefore, in engineering it is an effective method to improve efficiency greatly using simulation software for network planning and optimization.
