For expanding the market share and increasing sales, the second generation LCM tester will be upgraded ARM920T kernel system from the first generation MCU kernel. That improves speed and capability drastically. Compare to the first generation MCU, ARM chip has fast, multi-tasks and human-computer interaction characteristics; meanwhile, it has greatly improved in other areas. Such as in the circuit of output level changer, FSA3357K8X has replaced 74HCT4053D. That improves the speed of input and output data.This thesis studies the LCM tester that has good versatility and convenience. The first generation product just makes single module test. But the LCM tester in the study of this thesis solves this problem. It can support multiple test procedures that improve the universalization of product. It provides a man-machine interface that makes operate conveniently and efficiently. Switching power has replaced linear power of the first generation product. It improves efficiency, reduces weight and solves the defect of transport of the first generation product. The internal components are Chinese-made, so the reduction of the overall cost is 35%-60%.The LCM tester in this thesis has some characteristics that are a low price, high precision and strong adaptability. It can be applied in a variety of small and medium-sized LCM. That is popular product with corporation that has been sole to Japan, Holand, Taiwan and other overseas countries and areas. With hand equipments are popular and electric apparatus are intelligentized, the LCM tester will have a wide market field.
