Industrial Ethernet as a method of technology has been widely applied in the field of industrial control; it is a good solution to the information separation between the monitoring and management staff. Traditional information management system based on monitoring system can no longer meet the users' needs for real-time data processing of the underlying equipments. The boiler data management system based on the industrial Ethernet technology, can combine the advantage of the OPC technology,configuration software and information management software; and it has become the development model and direction of the enterprise information management system.This paper mainly introduced the technology of Industrial Ethernet and the "three wastes" boiler, having described the OPC technology and it's Data Access Specification. After in-depth study of the OPC DA Specification and the COM technology, this program has a high degree of portability, and can be used to access any internal data of the servers with OPC interface specification by using Delphi language for the design and development of the OPC DA client. At the same time, for the real-time data acquisition and its reliability requirements, it has put forward the software redundancy mechanisms based on the PLC hardware redundancy; and with the use of Delphi combined with multi-threading technology, it developed the clients and realized the free switching among multi-OPC servers.The system are designed and completed by using Delphi7.0, SQL Server 2000 development tools under Windows XP. This paper describes the various parts of the design methods in detail, including designing thoughts programming methods and implementation technologies.The work did in this paper have applied into the project of waste boiler in YuXi Galaxy chemical plant, the author involved into the designing and development of boiler data acquisition and management system which is based on the Industrial Ethernet. The system meets the requirements of the enterprises for equipments and energy managements, and has provided reliable data for decisions made by the upper enterprise-levels. At present, the boiler management system has been applied in the chemical plants, and it runs steady. The next work is to mine the history data reflected by the boiler indicators of the system, and to obtain the goals of better energy-save and emission-reduction of the boiler.
