With the cross fusion of industrialization and informationization, more and more information technology has been applied into industrial applications. Such as the Ethernet technology,which is playing an significant role in the industrial control system network. However, other from the traditional threats to the information security that the Ethernet has to face with, the functional safety accident occurs in the industrial control systems will lead to much more serious hazard. In addition to huge property losses, the hazard can endanger personal safety. Nowadays, with the rapid development of the fieldbus and the programmable control system, the industrial Ethernet technology is having a growing improvement. And the demand of industrial automatic control system for safety equipments is expanding constantly with the rising requirements of safety performance. The traditional industrial safety protocol technology is no longer applicable to the real-time industrial Ethernet communication environment.The purpose of this paper is to study the high-performance implementation of open source real-time Ethernet safety protocol openSAFETY. The main content and innovation are as follows:1) The generic PCP-AP platform architecture of openSAFETY node based on the industrial Ethernet protocol Ethernet POWERLINK is carried out:the communication part of POWERLINK is implemented with FPGA hardware solution; the safety application function of openSAEFTY is implemented on the high-performance processor AM335x. The PCP-AP architecture will achieve the better communication performance of POWERLINK. At the same time, it will release the resources of the main chip occupied by POWERLINK. thus the main chip is able to achieve the faster and more stable processing performance of openSAFETY applications.2) The specific hardware design scheme and software solution of PCP-AP are presented in this paper. And the architecture of the safety protocol based on POWERLINK is proposed with the improvement of openSAFETY. To prove the high-speed performace of real-time transmission on this PCP-AP platform, the experimental test and data analysis are carried out to show the implementation of safety mechanism of openSAFETY on the other hand.3) In order to further enhance the safety and reliability of the network, this paper designed the redundancy structure of openSAFETY and the dual network redundancy, ring network redundancy, multi-master redundancy of POWERLINK. Aiming at the shortcomings of the openSAFETY system on information security, the paper introduces the trusted computing technology and presents the hardware structure of the trusted computing control module and the software structure based on the trusted chain security mechanism.
