China Crisis Coverage

In recent years, all kinds of public emergencies that may threaten social securities, like mine disaster, fire disaster, epidemic diseases etc, happened frequently, meanwhile, the harmfulness and extent of those emergencies increased rapidly. Once an emergency erupt, it will influence social order, and will be a big disaster to public, and may become a test for government and media. In this thesis, how to do an excellent report by a media is the aim.The analysis of the mass media in social crisis is divided into five parts.basing on clarifying general concepts,the history of china's crisis transmission is reviewed in this paper accompanying the different functions that ghe mass plays in each phase.in addition,the anomie of the mass media's performance in social crisis and its causes are discussed in this paper.reflecting on the mass media's irrational behavior in social crisis with the basis of the detailed cases,this paper is fousing on how the mass media tries to make a balance among each factor in the context of society in terms of the crisis transmission,including the harmony between the government and public,between the different kinds of the media.the strategies that the media uses in the social crises are also posed in this paper.
