Ultrashort wave communication equipment's performance test is a primary means of the device performance guarantee. In laboratory environment, use analog channel test the quality of communication is a common method of performance tests. Thus, the study of channel simulator is very important.Scholars have established various channel models to simulate the transmission characteristics of different terrain, topography and climatic conditions. But, the development of channel simulator is relatively backward. Since the frequency range is small, processing is slow, channel bandwidth is narrow and other factors, channel simulation technical been restricted, currently, there is no channel simulator for ultrashort wave band.Therefore, this dissertation design a ultrashort wave broadband channel simulator, which is based on the OMAP processor hardware platform, realized ultrashort wave channel simulation in laboratory conditions.This dissertation first introduced the background of ultrashort wave broadband channel, then, described the main ultrashort wave channel model and the key technology of simulator design. Second, according to user needs, design and implemented the simulator. Finally, the dissertation presented the authentication of software and the test of simulate.The hardware part of simulator used the OMAP processor hardware platform, which including: RF unit, ADC, DAC unit, digital unit, signal processing unit and power management unit. The software part is divided into display interface unit, the middle layer and channel simulation unit. The algorithm part is divided into small-scale fading and large-scale fading. Small-scale fading include: delay, Doppler frequency shift and expansion, large-scale fading used irregular terrain transmission loss formula to calculate the path loss.Ultrashort wave broadband channel simulator based on software radio theory. It's hardware platform is the common platform; it's software system and analog channel could be configured, and the scene could be selected, which used in laboratory or field environment, filled the blank of ultrashort wave broadband channel simulation equipment. The simulator's design ideas and framework have improved fully, provided references for this product's subsequent development.
