Compared with outdoor radio propagation characteristics, the indoor environment is complex and changeable, susceptible to a variety of factors indoor furnishings, personnel movement, etc. So, there is great difference with the outdoor model. If we still use the outdoor propagation model,we cannot accurately reflect the propagation characteristics of indoor wireless signal. We need to accurately use channel fading features to improve the quality of communication and some communication signal processing in some occasions, especially in the current study a wide range of indoor wireless location scenes. It is very necessary to obtain large-scale indoor radio channel fading, and to obtain more precise characteristics of small-scale fading model.Through combining theoretical analysis with experimental verification method, this paper obtained the statistical model of indoor wireless channel, analyzed the large scale wave propagation fading and small scale fading characteristics. After the analysis of several typical wireless channel model, it summarized the radio propagation characteristics in the indoor environment. Because of indoor short distance, angle of arrival of radio waves cannot be ignored. Outdoor planar propagation model could not accurately reflect the indoor propagation characteristics, and thus indoor environment cannot be approximated as a free space. The status of persons such as mobile or stationary along with the number of people will have certain impact on the wave propagation. Because there are more indoor items, and items of material, size, display layout are different, all these leading to more serious of wave scattering.Based on the analysis of the theory of wave propagation, this paper has constructed the test statistics and indoor propagation models. It used outdoor model and radio wave propagation characteristics in indoor environment. It obtained an indoor wireless channel model based on actual measurement data and the statisticaldistribution law. Finally, the model is verified. The study can have some significance to rational planning and deploying indoor wireless network nodes.
