The concept of globalizing and diversifying musical education of the globe has been pushing forward the reform of Chinese musical education.In 2003, The Standards to Musical Course in Ordinary Senior High School has been put in place, which indicates both target and direction in developing Chinese ordinary musical education are become clearer. Under the guiding of this new standard, the musical textbooks, compatible with it, have been compiled by the education authorities at all levels. For this thesis, the writer chooses three editions of the musical textbooks for senior high school as researching targets, including three sets of pilot music textbooks, published respectively by The People's Publishing House of Music, The Literature and Art Publishing House of HuNan and The People's Publishing House of Education as well. With the contents of each textbook as the researching basis, the writer gathers related statistics and makes some analysis, to point out the characteristics in compiling of each edition and the complementary values.The main body of this thesis consists of three parts: Chapter one elaborates on the characteristics in compiling of three different music textbooks for senior high school and their teaching content module under the notion of new standards; In Chapter two, the writer makes analysis, quantitative and qualitative, about the way of arranging the vocal works and each unique feature, to point out each characteristics in compiling and the complementary features to each other's contents In Chapter three, the writer makes an exploration into the diversified teaching methods, on the basis of integrating the vocal works from these three textbooks.These three kinds of music textbooks for the senior high school are the good representatives to those compiled under the guidance of The Standards to Musical Course in Ordinary Senior High School of our country, are at present the fine examples of pilot music textbooks which are in line with the new standards. Besides, the writer analyzes and generalizes those vocal works, which not only help guide music teaching practice in senior high school, but also positively make the reform of music teaching methods and its contents deepen.
