China's Primary And Secondary National Unity Education Status And Problems Of Research

Nationality issue is one of the important factors which influence the world's development. At present, Chinese national unity, social stability, socialist reforms and construction are well under way, but we can not ignore the dangerous factors which may influence our state unity, such as very small number of separatists and international anti-China forces. Against this background, nationality unity education becomes necessary and urgent.From the basic situation of our country that we are a united country with lots of nationalities, our country attach much importance to the nationality knowledge education or nationality unity education among primary school middle school and high school students. Back in 1994, China began to carry out nationality knowledge education in primary and secondary schools in Tianjin which has achieved good results. Then, our state extended the scope of the pilot provinces twice between 1996 and 1999.Since2000, this education has achieved nation widely.I divided this essay into four parts.Firstly, I give the concept and the core value of nationality unity education. Secondly I analyze that what does the leaders and teachers think of this education, how to make this education effective, and what attitude does students have to different culture. Finally, I put forward some suggestions from which people know how to make this special education work better. To grasp the current situation of education of national unity, I go through a lot of relevant literature, and then supplements my researcher by a questionnaire survey and interviews among students teachers and school leaders.With my effort, I hope to give effective recommendations for improvement school nationality unity.
