Learning community of teachers is the specific form of learning community. Current researches on teachers' learning community mostly begin from discussing the definition of learning community, which is the origin of the definition of teacher's learning community. Constructing teacher learning community is to reconstruct the school culture, to promote the professional development of teachers as a group, and to accelerate the intensive development of the school. Based on a close study of the theories on learning community, the author generalizes 5 common characteristics of a learning community, and thereby observes the construction of teacher's learning community in Zhongguancun No. 4 Primary School. This research is a case study. From a macroscopic perspective, the constructing process of the teachers' learning community in Zhongguancun No. 4 Primary School is analyzed at the school level. From a microcosmic perspective, the learning activities of the Chinese teachers in the school are analyzed. In the end, some suggestions on how to perfect the teacher's learning community in Zhongguancun No. 4 Primary School and how to improve the professional development of the teachers of Chinese are formulated.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is about the background of this research, in which a review of the existed study, and the contents and the methods of this research are also formulated.In the second chapter, 5 basic elements of a learning community are generalized after a close study of the theory about a learning community. The definitions of some key concepts used in this paper are also given.In the third chapter, from the macroscopic perspective, namely the school level, the author analyzes the process of the construction of the teacher's learning community in Zhongguancun No. 4 Primary School. 5 features and 4 effective construction strategies are generalized.In the fourth chapter, from the microcosmic angle, that is the teachers of Chinese in Zhongguancun No. 4 Primary School as a group, the author depicts Chinese teacher's activities participating in the construction of the teacher's learning community, and analyzes the functions of them in improving Chinese teachers' professional development. Some suggestions on how to perfect the teacher's learning community in the future are put forward in the end. |
