Consumption is a behavior that goods are required to meet our own needs.With the reforming and opening up,the economy is rising rapidly.The mass of goods is producted.Our life is experiencing the great changes from the time of lacking the food and clothing to the time of well-off.The role of individual has also experienced the identity-based to money-based.Mass consumption time also comes to our sides.Its arrival makes the consumption break through the attribute of economic activity and become one of the basic property of human existing.While a variety of consumer goods rich people's daily lives,it also wakes up the consumer desires.A variety of consumption require have been fulfilled through the goods.The quality of life has been raised as well as consumption as a tool which is demonstrated by their own status and the values.That goes beyond the concept and pattern of rational consumption.Comparisons of consumption,blind consumption,waste consumption have become a serious problem. Conspicuous consumption gradually rise.Consumption makes a increasing severe environmental stress and resources stress.At the same time our country has also "low-consumption,high accumulation" which makes domestic demand long-term insufficiency and the overall downturn by the traditional concept of frugality and the impact of social transformation in consumer issues. Its behaviour is lagging behind consumption,ignorancing consumption.All of them are the discord in the field of consumer.We called them "the irrational consumption" in this paper.We have to confront the unavoidable reality—how to make the consumer meet the reasonable needs of the realities of consumers;how to promote the healthy and orderly development of society as we faced with this complex situation of irrational consumption.The answer includes "appropriate",but also a question about how to promote the harmony of ourself, human relation,the relationship between human and society,the people in harmony with nature relations.17th report of CCP pointed out the importance of constructing the consumption patterns which save energy and resources,protect the ecological environment.It is closely related to the China's low per capita resources capacity and the traditional industrial development manner which has caused severe ecological situation.Thus,researching exterior behavior of all kinds of irrational consumption of our country,exerting the educational advantage of ideological and political education act on irrational consumption has a very important theoretical and far-reaching practical significance.It is meaningful to impact and guide them to the rational consumption which could establish the concept of ecological civilization,promote ecological civilization construction,upgrade the quality of life of the masses of the people and carry out the people-centered as the core of the scientific concept of development really.In this paper,the concept of consumption is analysised and studied deeply.I get the characteristics and the formation of the typical reasons on the basis of summarizing up irrational consumption.This paper focuses on how to restrict and educate them for the ideological and political education.In the first part we give rise to the concept of irrational consumption starting from the concept of consumption.The rational consumption and irrational consumption distinguish between economic,ecological and ethical standards to make a more comprehensive of irrational consumption.The importance and necessity of ideological and political education researching for consumption and non-rational consumptiont is also further elaborated in order to clarify the doubt.That raises its theoretical value and practical value of the research.The major idea of the second part is summarizing the non-rational consumption behavior.
