Internationalization Of Higher Education Research, Theory And Practice

Stimulated by the integration of the world economy and the informationization of the modern industry,the internationalization of higher education has become an inevitable trend in the development of higher education.Based on previous studies,this paper elaborates in details its basic theory from all kinds of aspects,including the contents, methods,characteristic features.Also this paper brings forward three nexuses on the basis of the study in its meaning——International VS Domestic,Modern VS Traditional,and Common Vs Characteristic.Further for a better understanding about "International VS Domestic",this paper makes discussions from aspects as belows-Philosophy,Core Competency,and so on,this paper also analyzes and reveals its existing problems. Supported by a sight research into Qingdao University,this paper uncovers the experiences of internationalization of running the school,including the four Projects,the Four Measures,probing the problems and providing solutions.And then after the research into Qingdao University,the paper extends the problems across our country,and proposes countermeasures as below:consolidating the educational approach and ideology; formulating more systematic regulations and policies;perfectly absorbing the internationalization with domestic education;increasing fund investment in higher education;establishing an international certification system of higher education; developing the special programming of educational internationalization;promoting the international exchange of personnel and developing the advanced areas.In this way,the privileged field of study could be more attentively focused and internationally influential majors could be established.
