The nationwide curriculum renovation for senior high school leads to the reform of class instructions accordingly. Despite the fact that in course of the curriculum renovation much attention has been paid to the essence of education, i.e. the harmonious development of the individuality and the learning group, the effectiveness of curriculum renovation is unsatisfactory as much more attention is simply paid to the creation of the form itself rather than its core. This article starts with the analysis of some inspiring ancient instruction concepts, to name just a few, humanistic concern, individuality-oriented instruction, and idealized personality construction. In light of the requirements of new curriculum criteria and features of History, this article is to introduce the concept of constructing a history class with diversity reserved in unity. By means of analyzing the content, elements and approaches, the author attempts to apply the wisdoms in ancient instruction to the curriculum renovation to make up for the current history teaching. A new approach is expected to be found to increase the effectiveness of history teaching in senior high school and implement the new curriculum renovation.
