Dialogue Management: The New Vision Of Adult Education Management

Present,"dialogue" has become a hot topic and has been treated as a kind of spirit in educational theory and practice.At the adult educational management,the researchers have done some study on it from their own way but they are limited.In this article,the author proposes that dialogue management is a kind of new vision of the adult educational management,which is based on the dialogue theory and the related theory on philosophy,education and management science. From the angle of dialogue management,the author makes the further analysis on the predicament of traditional adult educational management and gives the advices to promote it.The research of this article mainly has four parts:Ⅰ.The rationale of dialogue managementDialogue management is based on the related theory of philosophy,education and management science:the rationale of philosophy is phenomenology,hermeneutics,criticism and feminism;the rationale of education is the teacher-student inter-subjectivity;the rationale of management science is the new public service.Ⅱ.The connotation and characteristic of dialogue managementAt this part,the author obtains the connotation of dialogue management and makes the further analysis of its connotation and characteristic through the analysis of related philosophy.Ⅲ.The root of predicament of adult educational managementAt this part,the author makes the analysis of traditional management feature and its predicament on adult educational management:the deficiency of inter-subjectivity on management relation;the deficiency of communication and understanding in management process;the meaning alienation of its management result.Ⅳ.The new vision of adult educational managementAt this part,the author makes the analysis on the superiority of dialogue management from three aspects:management relation,management process and management result,and gives the further analysis of adult management on teachers and students from the angle of dialogue management.The conclusion of this research:Ⅰ.The essence of dialogue management is in order to reach the inter-subjective contact practice,which is based on the mutual respect,the mutual trust and the mutual equal,through the common participation,the sincere communication and the mutual sharing. Ⅱ.Under the dialogue management,people should treat the human being's value and significance as the kernel,pay attention to the construction of teachers and students' perfect spirit world and independent personality,attach importance to the equal contact,the mutual communication,meaning sharing and communal development between the each subject.Ⅲ.The superiority of dialogue management:the inter-subjectivity in the management relation; the constructiveness and productivity in the management process;the reciprocal and win-win benefit in the management result.Ⅳ.Management methodology of adult teachers under the vision of dialogue management:the transformation of management relation is from the subject-object division to the inter-subjectivity; the transformation of management organization is from the bureaucratic orientation to the professional orientation;the transformation of management method is from the system restraint to the humanities concern.Ⅴ.Management methodology of adult students under the vision of dialogue management:the transformation of management relation is from the subject-object division to the teacher-student inter-subjectivity;the transformation of management model is from the standardization to the personalization;the transformation of management method is from being controlled to self-control.
