Present Situation And Countermeasure Of Oral Communication Teaching Of High School Language Study

In 2001, the Ministry of Education has issued the"Curriculum standards for Chinese learning in Primary and High School (the Experimental draft)", which firstly puts together the following five aspects such as literacy, reading, composition, oral communication and comprehensive learning. Teaching of listening and speaking has been changed into"Oral Communication Teaching", which symbolizes the improvement of the understanding of"Oral Communication Teaching"by the Accademic Circles in our country.However, the process of carrying out the"Oral Communication Teaching"is not so successful as we have expected. Many teachers will neglect the"Oral Communication Teaching"as it won't be chosen into the College Entrance Examination. We can still only see teaching of reading or writing in our Chinese classes and many schools haven't regarded it as a formal course, which shows that the"Oral Communication Teaching"seems not so essential in Chinese teaching.To change the prejudice of some Chinese teachers of"Oral Communication Teaching"and improve the scientificalness, practicalness, feasibility of training the oral communication of the students, I have based my paper on the research of the various factors of"Oral Communication Teaching"such as students, teacher, textbooks, teaching methods, ways of comments and so on. I have also analyzed the defects in it. What's more, I've put up some strategies of dealing with them and found out some effective and practical ways of solving these problems, hoping to enhance the change from arbitrariness to programming, blindness to scientificalness, scatterness to systematicness so as to make the"Oral Communicatio Teaching"develop in the correct direction.
