The quality of Chinese teachers has always been one of the hot topics of researchers' study, so the study of their quality is of great and practical significance. With the great changes of the era and the new curriculum reform emerging today, what quality should a Chinese teacher have? The thesis discusses the problem of the quality of primary and secondary school Chinese teachers in such background, with a view to helping raise their teaching results.The introduction part of the thesis describes the background, the scope , the significance and the methods of the research.. ChapterⅡmainly combs domestic and foreign research documents in relation to Chinese teachers' quality and summarizes researchers' common viewpoint. ChapterⅢmainly conducts a survey on Chinese teachers' quality situation through the method of questionnaire, from which we find the different degrees loss of frontline Chinese teachers in the aspects of knowledge, ability and character and so on.. Through the analysis on Chinese teachers quality survey, the thesis explained the reasons for language teachers' quality deficiencies. On the basis of above analysis, chapterⅣelaborated on the thinking on Chinese teachers' quality in the background of new curriculum reform so as to make the new requirements for quality.ChapterⅤgave us a simple discussion on the qualities which they lack but must be emphasized and brought up the qualities they must possess: the humanities and the quality of exploration and information quality and psychological quality.ChapterⅥof this paper presents some reference in the recommendations on how to improve their qualities under the background of new curriculum reform for Chinese teachers. The thesis holds the view that language teachers should start from the beginning with themselves and they should ideologically have a high degree of awareness. They should improve their quality through unremittingly reading and social practice. In addition, The national education department in charge of the division and local department in charge of education improve the quality of in-service teachers through improving high curriculum courses and training language teachers' weak courses.
