Hybrid Learning, The Moodle Environment

Combining computer with network, Moodle offers a new teaching method and platform to vocational school. Moodle is powerful for its easy installation and operation. Teachers and students can communicate on it easily. So this is a sound platform for applying multiple teaching strategies.In this thesis, I use moodle to teach mechanical drafting and blended with multiple strategies such as self-directed learning, interactive learning, constructism and online learning. For achieving this goal, I have done the following:1. From literature search, I defined four strategies of mechanical drafting teaching: self-directed learning, interactive learning, constructism and online learning.2. According to the theory, school's situation and learners'characteristics I concluded the applying principles of blended strategy.3. Establishing the Moodle platform and design the web course.4. Conducting a quasi-experiment to prove the effects on students'cognition and attitude.5. Collecting the data and case to analyze and reflect on the experiment. I hope this blended learning method will enhance students'cognition, skill and attitude. Also, it offers a practical teaching method.
