"Whether the moral can be teached"is a problem that is debated all the times. Moral education is an eternal theme in human education. It is the general trend of the development of modern education to pay close attention to moral education; however, it does not mean that there is no problem in this field. At present, the most outstanding problem, which perplexes the child moral education in China, is lacking substantial effect. Nowadays, we pay generally attention to the moral education effectiveness. So research of the method of the moral education is going to be attached more and more importance. Story approach as one conventional methods of the moral education, it can not be attached importance to in current moral education.The using of story approach in moral education can adapt the children's development level of moral cognition and inspire their positivity and go-aheadism. They can also understand nonobjective moral concept. The author expatiates the value and advantage, the application principle of story approach, which can be gotten some inspiration.Basing on narrative mentality of the child and the theory of the life moral education, the author analyses the theory basis and character of story approach in the paper. She also unscrambles the validity and inevitability of the story approach when it is deemed to one method of moral education. Taking this as the foundation, the author pays attention to the moral functions and the elements.After expatiating the base of the theory in moral education, the author introduce the value and meaning of story approach in child moral education. And then, the author expatiate effective measures of story approach in currently institutional schooling, which combine story teaching in language textbook in element school. Through story teaching, it can promote the aim of healthy moral development in child.
