Nowadays, the modern technology is developing more rapidly and international competition is more intensively, while the information technology is widely used, all of which is a real challenge to education. As a main part of basic education and a required course, the musical teaching should be adapted for times aging and improve away the problems in the musical teaching that we pay much more attention to teaching and training musical knowledge skill but ignore emotional cultivation of the students. To start with emotional education, we should accelerate the development of basic musical education. The essay makes up the lack of the academic research on emotional cultivation of the students during the musical teaching, with a view to analysis of musical teaching high school of musical teaching and emotional education as well as the study and integration on these theories. It is thought that the essay can provide some beneficial consultations and the use for reference for current musical teaching of high school from theory to practice.The essay mainly adopts behavioral research method to analyse and research as well as using experience summary and literature method. The whole essay consists of introduction, text and epilogue and there are five parts in the text part.Chapter One: emotion and emotional educationThis chapter involves five aspects, which are the definition of emotion, the need of education for emotion development, the definition of emotional education, the status of emotional education research in China and the analysis of the lost of emotion in teaching.Chapter Two: The evidence of carrying out emotional education in high schoolThis chapter involves five aspects, which are the status of emotional education in quality-oriented education, substance of musical education, the features of the students'emotions, the significance of carrying out emotional education in high school.Chapter Three: The way of carrying out emotional education in high schoolThis chapter involves two aspects, which are the analysis of emotion factor in basic musical education and the way of carrying out emotional education in each content of teaching. The first part discusses three aspects, which are the analysis of emotional factor in preparing teaching, emotional factors in every teaching procedure and emotional analysis of the relationship between the teachers and the students; The second part discusses four aspects, which are feeling and appreciation education, behavioral teaching, creative teaching and music with related culture.Chapter Four: the demands for the music teachers in the emotional educationThis chapter involves four aspects, which are that the teacher should have good class emotion, understand the content of teaching absolutely, protect the self-pride and confidence of the students and use the artistic teaching method.Emotion education is one of the core of modern personality education. As long as you have luxuriant emotions, you will make your principal spirit coruscated and build a high-minded personality, such as responsible and enterprising, active and creative. Basic musical education must be based on emotional cultivation by following and using the special feature that music is adept in expressing and inspire emotions. In the musical education we should take human as the foremost and have the emotional cultivation go through the whole class so that the students can change from the study of skill to the development of personality.
