"Poetry is man's mother tongue."It is not only the essence of language culture, but also a style of literacy of language. So poetry becomes once more the key point in the Chinese teaching and curriculum reforms of middle school. Because of the great improvement of Chinese textbooks of middle schools, which not only specifies the important role of poetry in Chinese teaching of middle schools, but also proposes the angle and direction of the later Chinese teaching, i.e. literature quality, human quality and aesthetical quality shall be improved via poetry teaching. This has brought a new challenge to our Chinese teaching of middle schools, and a new height and requirement as well.In this text, I emphatically discuss the cultivation of aesthetic capability in Chinese poetry teaching. Based on the abuse of actual Chinese poetry teaching of middle schools and requirements of modern teaching, I refer to the necessity of the cultivation of aesthetic teaching capability, indicate the content of the cultivation of aesthetic capability in Chinese poetry teaching and discuss the concrete methods how to implement the cultivation of aesthetic teaching capability in the practice of Chinese poetry teaching of high school.
