By study the male teacher's experiences of going into and adapting to the occupation, whose majors, positions, and lengths of service are varied, the researcher analyses the reasons why they go into the occupation and what pressures they have been facing in the course of adapting to the occupation. On the basis of the analysis, the researcher explores the reasons for the lack of male teacher in the kindergarten, and then attempts to make suggestions for male teacher's training and progress. The researcher discovers that there are two the main factors influencing male teacher to go into and adapt the occupation, one is gender isolation occupation owing to traditional gender stereotype, another is the low economy, social status of kindergarten teachers. These factors not only have impact on the males' choice of a kindergarten teacher's occupation, make the male teachers face many pressures and difficulties in adapting to the occupation, but also result in the lack of male teachers.
