Moral education has always been in the key position in China's traditional culture. Middle school moral education is related to the healthy growth of the teen-agers and the future development of the motherland. It is the most highly regard importance in moral education at present.Based upon relevant fundamental research at home and abroad, this paper has analyzed the problems in the present middle school moral education, like paying attention to cognition excessively, ignoring experience; paying attention to materialism excessively, ignoring soul; paying attention to social morality excessively, ignoring private moral; paying attention to results excessively, ignoring the courses. The main reason for these questions is that the sense of value is lost, creating cultural fault and loss of moral norms. The result caused is more than the degradation of morality but also detrimental to society.The essence of this paper attempts to creatively convert the current situation in Chinese moral education by correcting defects and to remedy the deficiency of the contemporary moral education in middle school. The basic thinking is to analyse China's moral tradition according to era spirit; followed by Probing Chinese moral education tradition applying in practice, carry out verification unceasingly in the moral education practice. Firstly, analyzing Chinese moral education tradition theoretically comply with the present age value, then probing the practical efficacy in Chinese moral education tradition.The core of rational Chinese tradition ethics is a basis emphasizing that the origin of morality lies within human nature. China's moral tradition has played an important historical part to shape the Chinese society. Generous person loves others and putting oneself in the place of others has become the core of the social ethics. Meanwhile, it gives the nature ethics meaning of the life. It creates the ideal of achieving the harmony between man and nature.Traditional way of teaching Chinese morality belongs to the past and comparatively detached from other influence. However, the way of teaching Chinese morality is not just for the present, but it is for the future generation as well. The contemporary spirit of the time composes the basis of the social morality and it pre-determines the adaptation of its application. Through further discussion, this paper draws a conclusion that there is high integration between China's moral tradition and modern society; there are important inspirational meanings in moral education of contemporary middle school.To be a basis as narrated above, the practice part of this research which we apply inBeixiaoying Middle School, Shunyi, Beijing has been beneficially explored.It includes the school curriculum offering national literature course and daily maxim activity, providing guidance to the students, to let students understand the quintessence of traditional Chinese ethics and to experience the glamour of traditional Chinese morality. Through regular self-criticism by the students themselves to form and to maintain good habits, it will transform the students' morals cognition into normal steady behavior. Furthermore, the teachers' moral training is to be strengthened and to take the lead in setting good examples for the students.The students' ethical quality has been greatly improved through this practical adaptation.
