Local Geography Teaching, Inquiry Learning

Geographic Exploration Study is the product of employing exploration study in geography teaching and practice, and the key in the reform of geography teaching. The application of exploration study in local geography teaching is also an important part of exploration study of geographic lessons. Local resources are well known and easily acceptable to students. It is the platform where teachers and students build their geographic knowledge together, develop geographic ability, and cultivate the special local affection and value in geography study. The article analyses whether it is necessary to raise the topic of applying exploration study in geographic study, requires to absorb some subjects that are interesting and worth exploring to students in compiling teaching materials of local geography, and analyses the several key stages in the application of local geography exploration study. Finally, it summarizes the experience and lessons the author has in local geography exploration study.
